Why are deserts
cold at night? In many parts of the world, evenings are really cold - not only
because of the heat of the sun, but also because there is very little air
movement and therefore very little air. People with hot, dry air usually like
to be close to each other, so they form clouds. As the clouds form, their
temperature decreases and becomes colder, thus cold nights come. If it is a
cold desert evening then you will know why it is cold.
But, what
about the mass of air that is hot? This air stays close to its warm temperature
and as long as there is enough warm air, it does not move around. Since it
cannot move around much, the warm air falls back into the clouds and then the
clouds return to the desert. The warm air stays close to the ground which cools
it. This is how the desert gets cold at night.
If you want
to enjoy a cool desert evening, you must be in a place where it is very hot.
When you are out during the day, you can enjoy cold desert water or even cold
drinks like ice cream. However, when the day is over and cool, you should go
home and have a glass of hot drink and go to your balcony to enjoy your cool
desert. It's hard to enjoy your dessert in the middle of the night, especially
if you live in the desert. So, why not go to your balcony at night and enjoy a
glass of cold drink.
